NOT DANGEROUS
The people who get mugged first are people like Armando, I don’t know if he is just putting a show but the whole thing is ridiculous. Armando and Kenny, are like going to Medellin Market and living in the Roma neighbourhood (that’s where all the foreigners live) it’s also one of the safest neighbourhoods in the city. It’s not like he is living in Oceania, Iztapalapa, La Viga or even Tláhuac. I’m born and raised in Mexico City, and I can say I have visited most of the city, and Armando being all freaked out about the city it’s like no dude, you don’t know the hoods in the city.
For anyone watching I can just tell you to come to visit Mexico City, the food it’s amazing from Michelin restaurants to stalls on the street, there is a lot of night life and if that’s not your thing there a lot of museums and beautiful architecture.
I’m on episode 2 so no spoilers please!
I agree with you! I think Mexico City pre 2005 was a wild city. I would say post 2016 has been very safe and even corruption has come down (there are just in higher levels) but technology has play a lot of changes in street security. I think if someone comes to visit they are not going to stay let’s say Tláhuac because that’s too far from the tourist places, transit it’s not great if you don’t live or stay near a metro station or a metrobús station. So yes people are going to be in Roma, Condesa, Centro, anything over Insurgentes.
