I’m a comic reader, so I’ve not been spoiled myself, but the number of posts I’ve seen in the last few weeks with massive spoilers right in the title is way too high. This sub is for comic readers and show-onlies and we NEED to be better at hiding spoilers for the latter part of this community.
If you’re excited for a certain character to appear, keep your title vague. “Do you think This Character will be handled the same way as the comic?” is a title that gets your point across without naming the character specifically. You can always name them in the post (just not the title) or in the comments.
I just saw a title that spoiled a massive entire-run-long arc for a character (you know the one if you also saw that post). We NEED to be more careful. This is one of the best comics of all time and the adaptation is shaping up to be one of the best adaptations of all time. Show onlies deserve to have the same moments of shock and surprise we did when reading the comics.
Sorry for the rant.
All the people who keeping making jokes about a certain characters background that hasn’t been explored yet suck too. >! I’m referring to bulletproof and his stuff with his family. I’ve seen a joke spoiling shit everytime he is mentioned. !<
Iron Man dies.
I would also really like it if people included how much of a spoiler it is, I have a bad habit of clicking on things thinking “well I’m through most of the show it can’t be that bad”
Maybe a system of indicating the source and the location of the spoiler in the title would help.
There’s a lot of posts I just don’t engage because it’s a generic spoiler warning and I don’t want to risk it.
THANK YOU for saying this.
I agree. As the uninitiated will all know soon, the battle >!is only fruitful when the combatants enter the arena of battle on equal footing in knowledge and might.!<
This is how I feel when I get on yt fucking New Rockstars ruined this episode for me
Agreed. This sub is not the place to be for show watchers due to the sheer number of unmarked comic spoilers in comments and posts about the show.
I got so sick of it that I read the comics (well before S2) just to be able to browse this sub.
“Reddit Hide By Flair” is a great chrome add-on for help with this on desktop.
