I think it has. The episode was good but this was the first fight I think the comics did better.

He’s amongst the strongest of the soldiers - that’s why he’s the agent sent to Earth. There’s one or two named Viltrumites we know of that are close in strength that could maybe take him.
There’s still an enormous gulf between him and the strongest however.
I absolutely agree. One of the very few fights (in fact, arguably the only one so far imo) that I think is better in the comic.
I wasn’t a fan of that episode, but it could’ve been an all-timer. They cut out some awesome moments and setup only to replace it with Debbie, Eve and Donald?
Hopefully this is a one off. Some future fights are far more brutal and I hope they don’t get sliced up like this one.
Agreed. The show is better in almost every way imo, but they absolutely did not do Thraxa justice, especially with how much it was hyped up.
It also felt like a waste showing us so much Donald and Eve.
Yeah. The show definitely improved lots of things from these issues and the comic in general.
Overall though, I think I actually preferred the comic fight. This is one of the very few things so far that I think the comic did better.
Agreed. This sub is not the place to be for show watchers due to the sheer number of unmarked comic spoilers in comments and posts about the show.
I got so sick of it that I read the comics (well before S2) just to be able to browse this sub.
There’s lots of explanations here, but the comics offer an actual explanation later on.
Of course this is quite spoilery, so I’ll tag it for anyone else that doesn’t mind spoilers. Don’t read if you are only a show viewer.
From issue #104:
![Angstrom talking to Eve] How do you think that happens – Mark turning to the dark side? !<
!A lot of it was just backwards dimensions, good was bad, that kind of thing, and then a bunch of them were related to his father and the Viltrumites… they took a different tactic - didn’t allow him to grow up on Earth before they took over etc.!<
!But a lot of them, way more than I would have expected, have to do with you [Eve]. You were hurt or were killed… and he just snapped.!<
Who cares what critics think? Watch it yourself and make your own opinion.
They watch things to review them, we watch things to enjoy them.
Yeah, so obvious haha.
