(I couldn’t remember the name of that species for the life of me…)
I’ve been wondering, let’s say mark went to the planet and it ended up being a regular ambush and he defeats them, how tf would he know how to get home? He can’t contact Cecil. Hes not an expert in space travel and he’s super far away lol
How is he gullible ? He knew something was wrong the moment he stepped foot on the planet.
That is much too late of a point to realize this whole thing seemed fishy.
Literally yes. This isn’t the last time people take advantage of his desire to save lives, tragically.
I haven’t read any of the comics, but I would assume not.
He feels his hesitation is what killed people, his ultimate Achilles heel and what made this mark unique to the other ones that turned is that he gets blindly stupid to help others regardless of his own situation. Mans got too big of a heart
You’ve gotta remember, he is only 18 or 19
For an 18 year old, he has gone through a lot of shit, though.
Honestly I blame Cecil. If Cecil just busted out some common sense instead of manipulation, Mark probably wouldn’t have went
Yeah. Just acknowledge the fact that those aliens COULD be lying. He might be getting taken to a viltrumite internment camp or just regular kidnapping because he broke a law or something.
Facts. Cecil is too controlling to whip out common sense, however.
Yeah, and he’s more manipulative / more unsavory in the comics compared to the show. That side of him is gradually starting to show more in s2. Still love him, but Cecil has his scummy moments.
Comic spoiler
!if you think that’s gullible, in the comics, there’s a dinosaur who destroys Las Vegas so that humanity can survive. The dinosaur is arrested but and at first Mark as appalled but when he realizes all the good that came from the destruction of Vegas, he frees the dinosaur thinking they can work together and stop the dinosaur from killing people. At first the partnership works very well but it ends when the dinosaur melts greenland causing water levels to rise and at least hundreds and thousands of people to die!<
Doesn’t the partnership fall sort because Invincible gets separated from his partner for a bit so he can’t keep him from backsliding back into villainy
This was the biggest “Free Candy” moment on TV I’ve seen in a while
Wanna take down your biggest mortal enemy? Just casually ask him, tell him it’s uhhh to save lives. Wait till he falls asleep in the trip and yeet the ship into the sun.
I thought they were mantises
You might be right.
Yes it’s one of his biggest character flaws
