Idk if it’s just me, but Manuel is giving Ashley Yohan treatment. Everything was fine when she would go visit him, and (like Daniele and Yohan) they were fine the first few moments together. It wasn’t until he found out she was a practicing which (similar to Daniele) and that he seemingly had ulterior motives that he started acting different. Now he’s mean and acts indifferent toward Ashley, just like Yohan toward Daniele. I’ve just noticed similarities between Ashley and Daniele’s personalities and Yohan and Manuel’s.

    They’re definitely alike. Both expect their American wives to totally financially support them while their money is their money and they’re only sending it home. Both want to live in New York. Both hate their spouses. They’re users.

    Well the thing is that both Yohan and Manuel are lazy and don’t want to work, but want their significant others to fund whatever lifestyle they want to live. Also, Danielle decieved Yohan and promised to bring him to the US (apparently) and then changed her mind without telling him, which is why Yohan felt contempt towards her. She broke a promise.

    AFAIK Ashley didn’t break any promises, and Manuel has been sour af since the second he got to the US.

    I don’t think they’re that similar.

    Manuel gives me BAD VIBES. I firmly believe he’s solely with her as a ticket to America, and only a ticket to America.

    I can’t watch Manuel. The constant sneer, the beater / hat / goatee combo, the way he treats Ashley… it’s all gross.

    I also feel like he smells like Axe body spray or something equally strong and awful.

    Maybe. My mom’s side of the family is Hispanic and they always told me to stay away from any and all witchcraft/ occult and that people who are into that stuff are satanic and not to be trusted. I can definitely see it as very off putting to Manuel and Yohan.
