Okay so I’m basically writing a novel, and once it’s finished I will probably post it on social media or archives—TikTok, Wattpad, Ao3.

The only thing is that I have trouble writing sometimes. So really, I just have one question for you guys.

If your a fellow reader or a writer, what scenes make you fluster? To make it not weird, what exactly gives you butterflies?

When you read a book, what part of it makes you want to shriek and throw it across the room?

When you read, what gives you butterflies? Whatever that is, write that. That’s why writers always advise “read a lot”. Write the books you want to read.

I don’t mean this to be incredibly rude, but figuring out things like this is part of the writing process. Probably the biggest part, where you create.

I think we can all agree that bad writing makes us want to throw away books. Not sure about “shrieking” but I can’t stand bad grammar and poor sentence structure.
