I just finished watching episode 1 again for a second time. I noticed that each member of the Guardians died via a wound to the head. Aside from the head being a vital point, was there a reason omni man didn’t attack their bodies at all?

If he had insides up to his elbow it’d be a little obvious what happened

Efficiency is my guess. The immortal can survive a hand through his torso, no one can survive the removal/destruction of their head

Probably the fastest and easiest way to kill most living things
Weird that he didn’t kill Immortal this way, considering smashing his head would be the end of it.

omni man probably aimed for the head to ensure a quick and effective takedown. headshots are reliably lethal, so it makes sense in a combat scenario.

Pay very close attention. Nolan has a very consistent habit of going for the head or the neck. He does the same thing multiple times throughout a couple of his fight scenes.

He made all their deaths rather quick

Someone else on here said they theorize he did it the way he did so he couldnt feel remorse or guilt.

We see when they show Mark in the Atom Eve Special(?) that hes already seriously conflicted, even before Mark has his powers. He was destroying them quickly and going for the head so as to not see their faces when they died. Same thing when he kills the pilot in EP8. He’s trying to convince himself theyre nothing, and by destroying the most ‘human’ part of the body, hes able to, but then he looks at Marks bloodied face, and he cant help but stop himself from hesitating
