Quite honestly I can’t stand only a few books that I’ve read, recently The Awakening by Nora Roberts.
Holy crap, do I reallllyyyyy want my money back. I was bored. So. Bored. The magic system was subpar, the characters just….ew, everything was so, so boring. The MC is an idiot.
What book is a zero star read for you?
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. It’s written like Ben Stein talks (slow and monotone as fuck) , it has a mystery that can be solved while it’s being introduced, that solution gets a “I’ve already thought about that and nuh-uh” then that turns out to be what really happened, it has weird tech specs for every computer that appears in the book and a link to a fuckin’ open source word processor, I already mentioned it’s tedious and slow but I’m going to mention it again because it’s that tedious and slow, and Lizbeth Salander is the most one-dimensional wank fantasy to ever be held up as a “strong female character”.
God I hate that book.
I quite enjoyed the first one as it was the first time I’d read any scandi crime type drama.
The second and third ones are more of the same but even more boring. Would not recommend those if you didn’t enjoy the first one!
