I have seen so many posts of people shitting on popular books so I need to hear some of your favourite ones.

For me I believe that the A Good Girls Guide To Murder series is amazing and deserves all the love in the world

It has a incredible plot with so many fun and well written characters that I found quite relatable, the entire series is just fantastic and is one of my all time favourite mystery series

Came here to say Discworld. Every book still holds up even the ones that are 40 years old. STP was ahead of his time and a truly wonderful writer.

Do you have a recommendation on good books to start with? I love fantasy, but have somehow never read any Discworld

The earlier books are a bit of a pastiche and parody of earlier fantasy fiction and I find them a bit rough. I think he relaxed into his writing style at Mort, which is a more confident book all round.

Wyrd Sisters more or less works as a standalone book as well, and I enjoy it very much.

A few years ago I tried to (re)read them in order and I enjoyed the experience, although he did repeat jokes a bit often. You could do worse than starting at the first one and ploughing through.

I’m close to being halfway done with the series and I’m loving it so much. Completely lives up to the praise it receives.
