I would welcome a spinoff if it kept the heart and overall character of the show. I would watch a AFC Richmond women’s team spinoff good opportunity for crossovers of old characters and a great way to introduce new characters.
Tough for us who would kill for more, but man do I respect that.

The reality is Hannah has an option contract for S4- so if Jason says S4 is go she (and everyone else in the cast under contract) has to be there whether they want to be there or not. For any spinoff - that would be a new contract the actor would have to agree to and sign up for- so if they don’t want to do it it’s a no go (as obviously they would not recast for a spinoff). So you can read Hannah as being diplomatic but she’s really just speaking the truth of the situation.
I’m sorry but I don’t want a spinoff or fourth season unless Ted/Jason is there. It’s a damn near perfect show to me, and unless everyone comes back, I don’t want it.
Same. I get that it can be done (see: Frasier and Better Call Saul), but I just don’t WANT IT. I would watch 100 seasons of TL if it meant the quality didn’t waver as long as Jason was involved. Using a walker up and down the side of the pitch. But, as much as I love Hannah and Keeley and Roy and Beard…a random cut to a phone call or email from Ted won’t be enough for me.
After watching that special, I’m totally OK if the cast just does a series of musical variety shows. It was awesome…
They had a nice, natural ending. It’s best to let it be.
Speaking words of wisdom
While I’d love to see more Ted Lasso, the story is done. If they did start a S4 with the original cast then it would have to start from a place of them failing without Ted, which is completely against his story of building people up.
A spin off could work, but there’s too much of a risk of copying and pasting the stories and characters.
I understand an appreciate it honestly. So many characters experienced individual growth throughout the series but none were ever more reliant on each-other for support than Rebecca and Ted’s characters. At nearly every turn where either character had a “moment”, the other was there to lift the other up or provide confidence for the other.
