The premiere.
The 1st one is pretty good I’d say
the 1st one i’d say
Episode 1
Do you actually hate this person? Haha
I hate questions like this. START AT THE START GODDAMNIT
make sure your date is weird and twisted like we all are otherwise she won’t enjoy the show…
Everyone is saying start at the start, and that is 100% the best answer.
The 2nd best answer is to pick your favourite episode and see how they like that.
The problem you have is that Bojack is so story and character driven that a lot of the jokes and conversations won’t land right without the back story. Also, you have these jokes with a full-season long build-up (think spaghetti strainers and sexy dancing whales driving taxis) that won’t make sense unless you watch the whole season
So, start at the start
The finale
The first one. If they don’t like that one, they’re not going to like the show lol
Personally, I think S2E8 “Let’s Find Out” is a great sampler of the show, with the preconception that you’ll have to start at S1E1 afterwards. It’s a pretty standalone episode, early enough in the series where it’s not too emotionally heavy, and has a fantastic cameo performance by Elijah Wood.
Yeah but consider a massive spoiler near the end of the episode when it DOES actually get pretty emotionaly heavy. Also definitely needs a breefing about Wanda and why doesn’t she know technology? Why is J.D Salinger in the show and why is he directing? But I agree this is episode could be among thr best to start.
Start at the beginning, but if you want to show her something to try get her to watch it maybe just find some funny clips?
Good idea 💡
Just gonna say if this is watching the show together on a date early on in dating, I highly recommend NOT showing a treasured show. If they don’t like it, they’re going to feel uncomfortable with you staring at them expectantly the whole time lol
Very fair xD
Season 1 episode 3. The episode says a lot about the type of person Bojack is. Plus Sarah Lynn is pretty funny. Although she is also tragic.
Start from the beginning. The first few episodes are a bit cringey, but they are necessary to understand and to watch.
How did you get into the show?
I might preface just by saying “the first few episodes are a bit weird, I think they were just trying to find their tone, but the show itself gets way better and is absolutely incredible, I’d stick with it”
