What’s up with the messed up translations in this show I’m dyinnnn lol. Has anyone else noticed this? 49:46 of episode two of season 10 when Gino and Jasmine hug at the airport she says my “gringo bonito” in Spanish which translates to my cute white boy, but the caption that they put up says “my gringo monkey” the hell 😭😭 I mean it’s defo not a big deal but kinda funny nonetheless

It was almost certainly closed captioning. Those aren’t quality checked in any way. They’re auto-generated buy a voice recognition program. Subtitles are usually quality control checked. But even those not so much anymore. I used to work in post production for DVDs and streaming and we would do quality control checks on subtitles but it really depended on the client and how much they were willing to spend on having someone actually watch them. I’m guessing here - not so much
