I agree on the star wars point but I think that generally the Jedi could cause them serious trouble. Lightsabers can definitely cut viltrumites to pieces and it doesn’t matter how fast you are if the force tells your enemy where you’re going to be. I think if a viltrumites just rushed a Jedi they’d end up cut in half and the Jedi would end up as a bloody smear on the pavement.
Yeah, super speed don’t matter when someone can just hold a hand out and stop you dead in your tracks. Super strength doesn’t matter when that same hand just has to close and you compress to the size of a tuna can. Nevermind the laser swords, space wizards are OP.
The force has never been demonstrated to be strong enough to crush something as powerful and dense as viltrumite physiology. The greatest power in Star Wars is the destruction of a planet via a laser. Three viltrumites have done the same. The force doesn’t have a snowballs chance in hell.
The question is, would the viltrumites be able to stop before hitting the lightsaber? Say they could sense a viltrumite was rushing to attack them from a few hundred meters away. They’re fast enough in this case to move their saber to block them. But the Viltrumites also have enough reaction speed to see them start to block so now they simply change how they plan on attacking and stop before the saber to go around or just grab their hand.
Lightsabers aren’t anywhere near hot enough to pose an immediate threat to viltrumites. They can be slowed by heavy metal blast doors, while high level Viltrumites can get dunked in the sun and “only” have their skin burned off.
Precog is helpful, but you still need to be fast enough to act on that information. The speed gap between a viltrumite and a jedi is so vast that jedi precog (keeping in mind that Jedi have been killed and beaten by regular ass non force sensitives before like Jango Fett or Cad Bane) can’t keep up.
Also, Jedi have no counter to Omni-Man’s “fly through the atmosphere so fast you cause explosions” trick.
The big question is if we’re talking about KOTOR/Old Republic era, Clone Wars or Legends New Order cause Viltrumites chances of conquering the SW galaxy will depend on whether it’s an ancient battle experienced Jedi Order, Old Republic plus the Sith Empires, a corrupt Order, Republic and Confederacy manipulated by Palpatine or a flexible and somewhat effective Galactic Alliance and incredibly busted characters like Grand Master Luke Skywalker, as well as the Yuuzhan Vong (worse if we include beings like Abeloth).
Abeloth is pretty much always discounted because it’s basically god and but still technically got punked by GM Luke even if he doubted she is dead for good
Yuuzhan and GM Luke are still going to get absolute slaughtered by a proper viltrumite empire, it’s not even a competition the speed and power feats are well beyond anything either can output
Umm, no… Viltrumites are faster than light and can fight at relativistic speeds. They would blitz a Jedi. Also the force would be basically useless as viltrumites can make their own leverage, so if a Jedi tried to stop a viltrumite by holding them in place with the force, the viltrumite could just continue to push harder and harder until the Jedi was overwhelmed with the force of a cruise ship. Finally I doubt light sabers could do much damage. Light sabers are not that impressive and there are plenty of things in the star wars verse that are immune to light sabers, including armor that a viltrumite could definitely crush/destroy with their hands.
Viltrumites can destroy a planet by punching through its core, and cause nuclear reactions by flying real fast. I don’t think the Jedi (the majority of whom struggle to levitate rocks and often are stopped by reasonably-large blastdoors) are a real challenge.
