  • Not really. The viltrumites were never proven right. They actually realized that they were wrong.

    This isn’t about the ends justifying the means, it’s about the past being unchangeable, so all that matters is the future.

    Besides, Sinclair killed like 10 people but helped save countless. How often is an opportunity like that really going to come up?


  • There’s a huge theme of revenge and punishment being pointless if it doesn’t acheive anything. Sinclair did terrible things, but then went on to save countless.

    Punishing him wouldn’t have achieved anything except deprive the world of his work. The viltrumites are another example, including Omni man. None of them were really punished for their crimes.

    !robot!< would have been another example, but then he proved he was still a danger, so he had to go. >!dinosaur!< was similar too
