I LOVED the Anne McCaffrey Pern books. I would walk around daydreaming about new adventures set in the books’ world. The Dragonsong books really connected my love of music with my love of fantasy (and animals).

      Loved that one. Never read LOTR although I attempted to. I challenged myself to read The Silmarillion more than once and i never understood what i was even reading (still finished it twice though). The Silmarillion reminded me of the Bible in that you can read a huge portion of it and not really grasp what you just read.

      Same! Think i was 9 or 10 when I first read it, still romanticise that book and it too got me hooked on Fantasy.

      Same, I remember picking out a copy from the school library in 5th grade. Loved it and set me on a trajectory to love fantasy to this day.
