Serious question; after what happened in Season 1, there’s no way he’d not have serious PTSD. Debbie too for that matter!
This could have been a pretty engaging character point; instead it seems kind of weird how Mark is just “fine” while Debbie is breaking down alone and no one, not even Cecil, has recommended they get a therapist.

Most WW2 veterans did indeed not enjoy the war and had various forms of PTSD.

However, again, there are many humans who are just born different. Killing another human being to them is just like any animal killing another in nature.

To quote the one I mentioned above:

“If it wasn’t for those damn Yanks, we could have kept the war going another 10 years!” - Jack Churchill.

This was his response to finding out the atom bombs were dropped on Japan, as he was unhappy that the war was ending as he deployed to India.

He wasn’t an officer who just sat drinking tea behind friendly lines either. He led raids and even engaged the Germans in martial combat with a sword he carried during WW2.

He proceeded to go fight in post WW2 conflicts.

Is it really “many” humans though? I’m not doubting how crazy this guy is but I feel like it has to be a microscopic amount of people who are BORN different & predisposed to that jack churchill mindset, no childhood traumatic brain injury no nothing

That’s why I said many did NOT enjoy the war.

Me saying there’s many like him is a historic point. There’s been millions of Jack Churchills, but that’s a minor number compared to the rest of humanity.
