it’s only like a month long wait. if we’re getting like 1 season per year let’s say, i’d rather have the snow stretch out over a longer period of time so i can interact with the community & build hype more between episodes. though that’s less important with a show based on comics. either way it’s not too long. everyone’s waited longer before

1 week already felt long, 1 month feels like forever. That being said, I hope this sub starts degenerating into a shitpost sub because of the long wait

I do love a good shitpost sub
I don’t mind it but like why? This show only has 8 episodes a season and 4 episodes then a break makes it feel like they are rushing plots a bit since they need a mid season finale. It made since with breaking bad and the walking dead as they had 16 episodes a season, but for a show with half that, really?
“Only 8 episodes per season” isn’t really a thing to complain about considering they’re twice the length of a normal animated series so it’s really more like 16 episodes.
It really doesn’t make any sense. This isn’t studio mappa taking projects after projects and overworking their animators to zombie like state. It’s ONLY 8 episodes. You had 2 years for this. Should’ve just released season 2 in jan 2024.
It could be that due to the writers strikes Amazon has less content to release, so they’re spreading what they do have out more.
In October Kirkman said they were still polishing up the second season, so I’m guessing the final episodes weren’t finished.
Hotter take: every time someone complains about the break, episode 5 should get delayed another month (I will comment this on every post talking about the break I see)

Pick one you babies. These projects are big. We don’t know the in-house details of what their process and funding is like.
Both can be true. The animation is bad, so why was the show released in that state ? If it’s just a one month hiatus that would allegedly be so beneficial, then why not postpone the season 2 altogether ?
We waited two years for that season and the animation hasn’t improved, and Kirkman wants a season every year ?

Honestly man after One Punch Man S2 and Attack on Titan flipping animation teams I just don’t get upset about it anymore. There are a million things to do while we wait another MONTH.

Yeah I wasn’t concerned until I learned that prime is introducing ads unless you pay 3 dollars more a month. So the second half will have commercials as opposed to finishing before the ads are implemented. That made me a bit sour.

I swear most these people have never heard of mid season finales, they’re pretty standard in TV and a month is generous.
More just like its an ever increasing phenomenon in shows and it ruins the flow and excitement

The hiatus makes no sense and kills the momentum, except for those who will just want to watch the show in one go.
