Idk. His lines when they were on Thraxa sounded very weird, It almost sounded like he was trying to sound calmer than normal, but ended up sounding kind of robotic. Later during the >! Viltrumite ambush!< his lines sounded a bit better but that’s cause Simmons is good at being loud and aggressive in his delivery. I’m planning to rewatch tonight and I’ll see how it sounds the second time through. Let me know what you think
JK simmons is the only voice actor along debbie and cecil that i thought made an exellent job so far in season 2, all the rest sound a bit off to me this season
I think he’s speaking with guilt, which is something OmniMan has never felt before.
I had the same feeling, but thought it has to be the writers. I think the dialogues are very dumbed down compared to the comics. for exemple “you deserve death” “I know” like how can you work with this ?
The “I Know” was hilariously bad delivery, too
Honestly I don’t know what happened. I know some of the voice acting was made directly on zoom because of covid, so that doesn’t help, but still.
There’s something weird about the Omni-Man performance where JK kinda sounds so….chill. It’s like JK is recording some of the most deep, gravitas lines in the show in a closet sipping on a glass of tea. It contrasts visually from the intensity of the animation at times, especially in 204.
Meanwhile Steven Yeun sounds like he’s standing up, throwing tables in the booth during his delivery. He’s killing it, to me
Now you guys are just making shit up lmfao
I thought the delivery was kind of off to. Most of the dialouge imo.
Do you not feel the same?
His “I’m not supposed to feel this way” speech was absolutely incredible but you’re right for some reason the rest of the episode felt very… Off? Idk it just felt kinda flat compared to everything he did in season 1. The sane thing happened in the Mortal Kombat game, his lines over there sounded a little robotic too
