If the Ick were a human, it would be Rob. I do not understand why Sophie is with him. He is so mean to her! And the disrespect. Sophie is lovely, beautiful, sweet, smart, and even though Rob’s a dick to her almost all the time, she still treats him kindly.
When he said in tonight’s episode that he hoped Sophie would see she’s got a good guy and he just made a mistake I cringed. Good guy 🤮

I think she is young and dumb. That’s it, lol. When I was 22, I got back together with a boy-friend 12 years my senior who had been hiding a secret double life due to his crystal meth addiction the entire first year of our relationship. First love is… hard, and at that age, a lot of us with unresolved family issues or other trauma shit just don’t value ourselves yet or know what we deserve.

when i first saw rob, how he lived and what he said about her, i was expecting to be rooting for HIM but the first minute at the airport he already treated her so disgustingly poorly i did a 180 immediately. and its only been worse since!

She is in the early stages of an abusive relationship with someone who is at least behaving exactly like a narcissist. He is lovebombing her every time she makes up her mind to leave in between the bouts of abuse and disrespect. That’s what the romantic hotel night is for and that’s what motivated him to do that dance, it just didn’t work. Intermittent reinforcement makes our happy “in love” hormones skyrocket way more than consistent positive relationships and actually make us addicted to those hormones and the abusive partner who causes them by contrasting increasingly abusive behavior with increasingly rare bouts of lovebombing.
Age likely. At 23 her frontal lobe is still developing. She may also not believe she can actually do better for whatever reason. I think she’s so pretty and kind. I’m so glad to know they are not together anymore. I cringe when she starts to understate the online cheating after seeing how much pain it put her through initially. Rob seriously thinks he’s still a good partner because he didn’t “real life cheat.” Cheating is cheating period.
