I’ve been following Ashley and Manuel’s journey on the show, and I can’t shake off the concerns I have. Manuel’s secretive nature and reluctance to share much about his personal life, coupled with his expectation for Ashley to financially support his family, have me seriously worried. Manuel’s habit of frequently running off on Ashley is sending up some major red flags. It’s got me thinking that Ashley might be better off cutting her losses sooner rather than later.
Manuel is no saint, but the way she disparages him in front of her friends in a language he can’t understand is messed up. I also think he has a very sarcastic sense of humor, which doesn’t translate well in a second language. When he asked her, “what are you, an octopus?” cracked me up, but she took such offense to it.
I agree with this. He is very sarcastic. I’m also a very sarcastic person and people often take it the wrong way.
I got that impression too. I don’t think she vibes with that, which makes no sense as he is sarcastic, dry personality through n through…does she just crush on his looks n bedroom skills? Lmfao
The octopus comment got me 😂 I dislike Manuel but have come to dislike Ashley much more because she 1) puts up with it while complaining constantly and 2) cannot handle a single emotion without asking someone else for help. The panic attack in the car on the way to the airport, she calls her sister, then she calls her friend to complain like a brat in a language her partner doesn’t understand (this was so rude and gross to me.) For an allegedly spiritual person she seems to fly off the handle constantly. Manuel has kids and seems to be a hard working person that loves his family back home. It is clear he is not there for Ashley but she ALLOWS it which is why I don’t feel sorry for her at all. He is taking an opportunity and I honestly don’t blame him for doing so!
