I think once she saw how Clayton really lives, she got the ick.

You’ve been dating for 2+ years, suddenly when she lands, no sex in a month since she’s got there? Something seems very off about that. It’s even weirder that she acts like it’s not a big deal?

To make things worse, she mentions that she can “find another boyfriend”??

She doesn’t seem motivated into this relationship anymore.

I can’t blame her. She leaves Peru most likely upset to leave her parents/friends. Gets to US and to this? I am sure she is missiher home/family in Peru even more now. I am sure she had no real idea what she was going to encounter in KY although I am sure that Clayton mentioned something but really picturing guinea pigs and a dog in an apartment when you come from a country where pets are outside animals… Then add the clutter and mom in the closet

Part of me feels like she’s uncomfortable with the world knowing she had sex with him. Maybe that’s why they used to have sex and now she’s not interested. The mother & the live-in petting zoo make him extra easy to resist.

Fake battery operated candles, at that! (I’m sure the hotel doesn’t allow real candles, but still…)

Where are the rose petals? Champagne? How about a romantic SHOWER first? Followed by silk boxers and lingerie?? (Not splaying out on the bed in your apple-picking clothes smelling like the great outdoors, lol.)

      Good grief, Clayton is clueless!

She could have started a slew of medication that lowers sex drive. There’s an interesting study about changing, adding or removing use of birth control pills can alter attraction to a partner.

She isn’t into him and her body is telling her. She shouldn’t ignore it. Sorry, but if you’re young and in love, you’ll be doing it regardless of the living situation. If she’s not into him now, she won’t ever be.

      Exactly.

She barely appears to like him, she’s rude and insulting to him constantly, lied about his existence - she is horrible.

Nobody is owed sex - but they’re meant to be in a relationship, he has every right to ask what is going on.

And people are being very hard on him. He seems like a complete nerd and a bit of a loser - but he seems like a nice guy, trying his best, it’s not like he’s an arsehole.

Clayton seems like a nice person and is really good at Spanish actually. It’s nice he loves his mom.

BUT a hoarded apartment with Guinea pigs instead of furniture and his mom living in the closet?! I would die. Not sure how one could get past that.

The way she sat there, on the hotel bed with him, with her arms completely down, her torso facing halfway away from him, and her hands clasped, while he attempted to make out with her was so telling. It was SO uncomfortable.

I don’t blame her in the hotel room. Honestly, he’s a 30-year-old man that has a very good job when you bring a woman to a hotel it’s either to have an affair or you’re living with your parents. He wants her to be OK and happy at the hotel for one night and then go back and stress out with the mom in the closet and the animals in the hoardering, I understand why she went to sleep. It’s emotionally tiring.

Forget the sex they’re not having. Maybe we should start with baby steps like telling her dad that she has a fiance…

Idk Clayton makes me so uncomfortable. He’s a cringe fest. Why did she have to clean up those Guinea pigs? He’s allergic? Really? Who cleaned up when she wAs in Peru? The whole storyline is pathetic. The mother being just awful. 3 years saving up for an apartment? It’s more like mental illness/substance abuse

I don’t understand the supposed charm of the mother living in the closet, it gives codependency issues. No woman in their right mind would think that’s a totally normal environment to explore a relationship in.

To be fair, I too would have the ick if my boyfriend had pets that he were so allergic to that he expected me to do all the clean-up for them without prior negotiation.

I think she has the ick too but it could also be the whole camera thing. Yes they agreed to be filmed but who wants a camera crew watching you try and “make babies”.
