mark was getting clobbered by fucking maulers 3 episodes ago now he’s able to beat a full grown soldier viltrumite that’s been conquering worlds for millennia just because he “stopped holding back”. Even Nolan who got hospitalized by the guardians while soloing them, only suffered a cut on his head fighting THREE viltrumites!!! Just makes them look weak in comparison. I feel like they shouldn’t even have any chance winning that battle at all, not alone surviving in better condition than against way weaker foes
Well it’s not even about beating the maulers, it’s about how much damage the maulers did to him compared to the viltrumites…viltrumites should’ve done significantly more damage regardless of whether he was holding back or not in ANY of the fight, the power difference should be way way way above that scale
That’s like saying the guardians of the globe nearly beating Nolan is making him look weak.
No I’m saying them nearly killing him and hospitalizing him, compared to viltrumites only giving him a cut on the head…makes THE VILTRUMITES look weak, omniman has already calculable feats and the fact the guardians could damage him as much as they did speaks to their strength, the viltrumites should’ve fucked him up even worse if the idea is that they’re so powerful they only need 1 to conquer planets, and no, the sneak attack doesn’t count because Nolan was already guards down
Nolan is apparently well known among viltrumites, the ones that confront him on thraxan say “so this is the great Nolan.” So he has a reputation as a powerful fighter even among viltrum, and there’s nothing to say any of the viltrumites that attack him were as old as him or as powerful.
I think this really comes down to you not liking the scene, which is fine, but ultimately nothing is out of place or wrong. Mark has been seeing noticeable growth throughout the series and viltrumites get stronger as they get the shit kicked out of them, similar to Allen and saiyans from dbz.
Thula was shown during the great purge in s1 and Nolan was born after that
