I know that both Andrei and Libby’s family are insufferable but I have a few things I’d like to discuss and ask. They’re like annoying to talk about BUT…
Ive been watching happily ever after (newer seasons) and I’m seeing all of them bicker over Andrei entering the family business.
Now… I don’t remember much of the old seasons but did the family ever give Andrei a chance? Like were they ever nice to him?
I get it I don’t even like Andrei myself TBH. He’s very harsh, curses a lot by his daughter and just many things… idk how Libby can take all this conflict lol. I remember when he grabbed her phone and threw it somewhere while driving… ooof… anyway sometimes like I don’t blame her family for being so mean towards him but then again they’re all pretty annoying… idk with this whole dynamic I never know who is right or wrong.
The sisters and Charlie love to pick a fight and I know Andrei doesn’t hold back so… I guess who’s the lesser of two evils? 😭😂

I too hate Andre but he has mellowed out, when he’s with wifey on Pillow Talk anyway.
Yes you can really see how much editing impacts our perception of a couple season to season or if they appear on a spin off or Pillow Talk. I remember their first season thinking wtf is Andrei’s problem, then they were on HEA and I was thinking wtf is Family Libby’s problem. Honestly I like Andrei. I think he’s probably a good guy who can be a little rough. He has good one liners and funny observations that make him perfect for Pillow Talk.
Andrei is actually pretty good on Pillow Talk.
Libby’s family is insufferable. I really hope TLC has the sense to keep her entire trash family OFF of any and all future shows. Most of her family members have their own mug shots. They’re not even mildly entertaining; just nasty people looking for their 15 minutes of pseudo fame on reality TV.
I have a very hard time believing the narrative TLC is putting out. Especially when Libby is on tv not talking to or seeing her family, yet is all over each others instagrams in real life. She has never iced out her sisters, or Charlie’s family.
You’re starting to realize why I kinda like Andrei.
His personality is what it is (and, to be entirely fair to him, is basically Standard Eastern European Dude), but it’s also not the source of 95% of their issues. He actually gives Family Libby a lot more grace than I would expect out of a dude like him, it’s almost kind of impressive that it took that long for a fistfight to happen between him and Charlie.
The whole Family Libby BS was a lot of self-produced nonsense. They got together manufactured this whole “battling family” dynamic because they wanted DESPERATELY to get a multi-season spin-off (the GOLD STANDARD) like Family Chantel or Darcey or even just a limited series like David/Annie or Alexei/Loren. Unfortunately for them, Sharp never bit to produce their show and pitch it to TLC.
On SM, they have always all gotten along fine and Becky has even grouchily admitted that it was “all for the show” and for “entertainment.”
Yep, saw Libby in some low budget movie a few months back and saw on here that she had a role on a tv series as well. It’s clear they are in the entertainment business. All the drama is definitely made up for entertainment purposes. The sisters regularly hang out together on their social media and don’t seem to have a problem with Andre then.
The family seemed more toxic to me than him. Wasn’t the brother an alcoholic and the mother defending him?
Andrei did join the family business. And later , him and Chuck got along. The sisters not so much. But it seemed the 2 enjoyed each other’s company. And now Andrei has a different venture w/someone else. I think selling houses? Not sure.
Libby’s family comes off as a bit nativist and probably dislike Andre because he’s foreign to their family in terms of personality, accent and manner of being.Esp if the sisters are married to Americans. I think Andre’s grudges towards Libby’s family is justified in the fact that they never gave him a chance. Libby’s sister literally sees him being gone via deportation; anyone who sees the immigration process as a way to kick out people they don’t like indicates ignorance and entitlement imo

Becky’s husband is Danish.
He’s a typical Slav man which isn’t an issue to me personally but I don’t recall her family (besides Chuck) being anything but combative and seemingly biased towards where he’s from. I wouldn’t exactly get along with people who call my country’s cuisine ‘peasant food’ either
