They are complicit in the role-playing for this silly show. They are a solid couple. They work.
People who saw them together at the 90DF 10th Anniversary party in NYC said that they were both great and seem to have a good chemistry together. Both funny and charming.

Did you not see the Tell All where he came in and it was teased who it was and then it turned out to be Jamal? He and Veronica were all googly eyed and infatuated. Everyone really liked Jamal until that Tell All. He acted like a douche on it . . .

The whole Family Libby BS was a lot of self-produced nonsense. They got together manufactured this whole “battling family” dynamic because they wanted DESPERATELY to get a multi-season spin-off (the GOLD STANDARD) like Family Chantel or Darcey or even just a limited series like David/Annie or Alexei/Loren. Unfortunately for them, Sharp never bit to produce their show and pitch it to TLC.
On SM, they have always all gotten along fine and Becky has even grouchily admitted that it was “all for the show” and for “entertainment.”
