Do Trey Parker and Matt Stone have have their fingers on the pulse of the culture war or what?! I loved this!
Best thing Paramount ever did was acquiring South Park! It’s streaming service is 10 bucks a month I have no problem paying!
Does anyone know if when SP goes exclusively to Paramount, if they’re taking the HBO covid special?
Remember, if you ever agree with Eric Cartman, you’re probably wrong.
I haven’t seen the special yet but why people have it so much against Cartman? Is the sub being raided? Or he does some pretty evil/stupid/lame things in the special that I will understand when I see it?
I agree with Stan and Kyle though, the only ones who didn’t accept that Cartman was a black woman.
Oh no, you’re not hijacking this sub
Eric Cartman once said that independent films are about gay cowboys eating pudding. 7 years later - Brokeback Mountain.
The whole point was him and Kathleen Kennedy were both wrong. How did you moss that?
That was the whole special lmao
Let he who has not fed their enemy parent chili cast the first stone…
I know a guy who is exactly like Cartman. He checks every racist, misogynistic narcissistic box. He’s also absolutely hilarious and somehow always gets off the hook. He’s cartoonishly evil and dumb and people just can’t be bothered arguing with him.
You’re so right, South Park actually wants all these lame movies made… you nailed it!!!
You went in circles so hard you ended up being right in the end!!!
Matt and Trey seem to have trouble being consistent with this themselves ironically.
When they address topics like this, they give arguments from both sides. Sometimes, they choose the best argument from one side. Sometimes, they choose the worst. But either way, at least people get to hear both.
I don’t think so.
The message is that diversity is good, but forced inclusion and pandering is both bad and lazy.
South Park had the balls to have gay characters on in the first season, not to pander but as a core part of the episode. And it’s also mentioned that there’s a difference between making Miles Morales, a separate character with his own personality and backstory, and racebending an existing character.
The whole point of Cartman is to give racists and sexists a voice so they feel represented. This way South Park can appeal to BOTH racists/sexists AND people who aesthetically oppose them. This tactic goes back to All In the Family from the 70’s. Conservatives LOVED him and liberals hated him. Both watched the show because both thought the show was on their side.
Do you remember those seasons when Cartman was full woke?
Tbqh a lot of people were saying that and didn’t mean it. The fact that he is saying it was just so ironic.
Funny thing is, the thing people hate about wokeness is what they love about Cartman. He’s made to pander to them and they love being represented by him…
That’s literally what the person you rsponded to was getting at…
Cartman is often right…hippies.
We all know Scrotie McBoogerballs was about “oppression felt by the lower class” and not about just arbitrarily making fun of Sarah Jessica Parker!
remember if u agree with disney ur idiot
Bro doesn’t want more good star wars
MORE MANDALORIAN!
This is the way.
Good thing that it’s Kathleen Kenedy 🤷♂️
It depends on the context and the situation. Sometimes he is right and sometimes Kyle is wrong. Nuance is important!
Yep. A lot of racist, sexist jackasses are seeing the special as “vilifying” them, even though T&M think they’re full of shit.
Do you mean vilify or vindicate?
Probably vindicate. I get my words mixed up sometimes.
