Jasper Fforde. The first time I attempted The Eyre Affair I noped out because I just couldn’t wrap my head around the alternate reality/history. But, I tried again a few years later and it became one of my favorite books. I’ve since read all of his books I can find and loved every one, with this series as one of my favorite rereads.
