Original hands down. Especially when it comes to Japanese literature. Akutagawa’s writings in translated form are no good but you can see by how he writes that he’s awesome.

I’ve had this book for 25 years now. Still haven’t read it. It doesn’t make my heart excited looking at it. I’m very afraid to pick it up.
I google their character and look up images. Then I use that visual while reading
