I still wonder how Carla Mercedes Benz Brown is doing sometimes. And can’t remember if a reason was given as to why the Fugees were egregious when they were interviewed by Regis.

Oh totally.
Gonna catch flack for this, but Todd because I rarely cared about his sillier plotlines in the later seasons. They would interrupt intense plots and it bugged me lol.
I don’t think that. I explicitly said it’s something I wish could have been the case (“I like to pretend”). I know what the scene was actually implying.
Controversial? Well, it’s more of a controversial / baseless theory than an opinion. But I like to pretend that if Charlotte had been two steps slower and Penny had gotten just an inch closer, BoJack would’ve told her no a third and final time. I think leaving the door open was his extremely stupid way to prove to himself that SOME part of Charlotte actually wanted him that night, and that the instant that moment became realer than his hope alone, he would have panicked and realized he was being an idiot. His mistake was holding out for something (aka leaving the door open) that wasn’t actually what he wanted or even attainable.
I’ve never heard this term before and it’s tough to look up, I keep getting articles about actual coffee lol. Could someone kindly explain?
The “We’re American as Pho” is a personal fav of mine.
I Watch it over and over regardless of who watches with me. I enjoy being able to relate to so many of the characters (self-hatred, depression and antidepressants, even meeting with parents / family members never met with before). I also enjoy the humour, artwork and animation and sub plots.
Watching the same thing over and over during depressive episodes is a sign of desiring comfort, stability and for certain expectations to simply be met. It’s also common behaviour for neurodivergent people when things are presently tough. Familiar sights, sounds and storylines are grounding.
Definitely try watching it with her. I think her inviting you to watch is the most “trying to tell you something” thing, more so than her watching the show a lot. She wants to connect with you on something that clearly resonates with her. It’s not the subject matter or show. It’s you.
