I have 8 copies of Dune, each of which is either of a different edition or a different printing order within a particular edition. There are several reasons why I have this many copies. First, this is obviously a book that I love. It’s probably my all-time favorite sci-fi novel. Second, I am a collector, so I try to look for different editions and printing orders of books, as some are more highly sought after, rarer, and more valuable than others.
