Exactly this! Nolan has been putting off his mission for 18 years and genuinely became a superhero. Him killing those people in episode 7&8 I felt was him lying to himself about the changes he went through since coming to Earth. its traumatic for him to come to terms with the fact that he is not thinking like a viltrumite anymore. And Nolan did not mention Debbie or apologize once in season 2 episode 4. He says what he did is unforgivable but he is kinda brushing off Marks comments because it hurts too much to acknowledge what he did. In the recent episode he has come to terms with the fact that he is not who he thought he was but he still doesn’t understand why he changed or why he cares. Man is still going through a lot of internal turmoil, his arc isn’t done yet and he can’t be redeemed until he comes to terms with who he is, acknowledge his actions and seek forgiveness from the people he wronged.

Because people of colour exist. Lol in a show where there are different alien races fucking each other you’re questioning why these humans are fucking other humans?

Idk if you know this but Omniman is a selfish asshole. It’s been what a couple of months since he did that to earth and mark? He is going through introspective thoughts and guilt yes but even in this episode he is still that selfish asshole just 5% redeemed. You notice he didn’t even apologize to mark or even mention Mark’s mom. Mark even calls him out on signing the planets death warrant. He is a complex character. The show is gonna take their time redeeming him cause it’d be lame if they didn’t. Yall need to let the show be the show and see how they do it, have faith in Kirkman.

Nolan can only hold his breath in space for two weeks and he is a well seasoned viltrumite. Also haven’t read the comics yet but it could be possible they can’t fly as fast as a ship in space.

Two of my favourite scenes of the entire show this episode. The scene with Debbie walking juxtaposed with the scene of Nolan just drifting in space, sad ass songs playing in both. They kinda both looked like they wanted to kill themselves handled so fucking amazingly. And Then Nolan telling Mark to stop holding back and that he is fighting like he is on earth.

I mean it’s season 2 episode 2 we don’t know if it’s not the beginning of a redemption arc. If you read comics >!you know he does get a redemption arc!<
