Their relationship is the oddest to me… From their vague back story to the fact that neither of them seems to like the other. They don’t seem to know each other that well, either. And who gets married to someone before meeting their kids? It’s a bit bizarre to watch.

FYI You can obtain residency without applying for citizenship. Kimberly would not have to give up US citizenship to become a permanent resident of another country.

I don’t know if Kimberly has obtained residency or if she’s there under some other visa. I don’t know anything about laws in India, but not all countries are super strict about their visas. For example, I’m a US citizen with residency in a foreign country, but plenty of people I meet here are living here on a tourist visa. The only penalty for overstaying is a fine, and they’ll let you right back in the next time you want to come.

Some people prefer fantasy to reality, and not being able to communicate can actually help build that fantasy in their minds.
