I can only do it in the car while on a long road trip. Otherwise I’d just read.
Human nature is human nature and she was a genius at portraying that.
I read the Road right after Blood Meridian this year and was astonished how short the Road felt.
Murakami, whose books I love reading, is nothing if not weird.
IQ84 was the first Murakami I ever read, I’ll never forget how it made me feel (and how I then read like 8 more of his books right after). It was like nothing else I’d ever read at that point.
A Gentleman in Moscow was just a lovely read. Poignant, sad, beautiful, hopeful.
Absolutely. I was surprised by it, really thought it was excellent.
My mom has a nice set of the complete works for Agatha Christie. I love them. When I visit my parents I’ll usually read one each night because they are so fun and engaging and I can’t put them down.
