My girlfriend’s mom has a very odd sense of humor. Last year for Christmas she got me a book about the Dolphins perfect season back in the 70s (I’m a Bills fan) and my girlfriend’s sister’s then-BF a book about Auburn football (he’s an Alabama alum).

DB books are so goddamn formulaic but they’re also incredibly fast to read.

I read Da Vinci Code last year, Inferno and Angels & Demons this year, planning on readying Origin and Lost Symbol next year.

Rick Riordan has a whole ass “Mythology Universe” going right now. I’m pretty sure he’s at the point where he’s like Clive Cussler and has people writing books that say “with Rick Riordan” where he just hands them a basic premise and says go have fun.
