He describes it well I’m Free Churro; they all understood the feeling of constantly drowning.

I saw the same thing, but I genuinely don’t think that’s his first drink.
We see him walk in, look at the liquor bottle, look at his mother to make sure she’s asleep, and then take a sip and crawl onto the couch with her. Bojack was a very hesitant kid in most of his other flashbacks, and even more so after the cigarette incident. He had no hesitation or guilt about it, he just grabbed the bottle and took a swig. To me, this seems like he’s done it a few times.
insert “that’s bait” guy here
I was waiting for this one. Truly underrated character, but simultaneously spoken of more than she appeared on screen lol
I don’t think it’s necessarily an act, he just puts a positive spin on everything. He’s not stupid, he just wants to be happy, and he wants to make other people around him happy. To the detriment of himself and his relationships.
Unpopular opinion, I agree with Bojack that honeydew is garbage fruit but I actually love cantaloupe. It is probably one of my top five favorite fruits
I do agree with you. I think PB is more nuanced and intelligent than a lot of people give him credit for, and I honestly think a lot of what can be chalked up to his “blunders” are actually along this line, either to draw attention away from a trainwreck like this or just lighten the mood, or change the topic, etc. And I think it’s all intentional. Or at least mostly intentional.
Still can’t figure out the pasta strainers tho.
This show rewards rewatches like no other show I’ve seen. My opinions about the show and the characters have evolved with my many reruns.
