Yup! Visitor visas for the US are hard to obtain, expensive, and can take a long time for most foreign visitors. I honestly didn’t know either until a couple years ago! But for example, my family from mexico has to show that they are financially stable and well established in mexico, so US officials can feel comfortable enough that they won’t just try to stay in the US. Among other requirements!

Wanted to add, what i really couldn’t stand was them throwing a fit about them wanting to get married mother’s day weekend lmao. Who gives a shit ??? As a mom myself, I really can’t understand someone being that upset about someone else daring to have an event mother’s day weekend. Even if it was my damn birthday weekend, I wouldn’t care.

I have somewhat mixed feelings on this. I do agree that farmwork is NOT for everyone, so if julia just straight up can’t handle it, then they shouldn’t be mad about that. However, since she is staying in their home & eating their food for free, she SHOULD be helping out around the house at a minimum, because that’s what well-mannered adults do. Brandon’s parents are definitely selfish assuming that julia would wake up at 6am to do farm work, but I also think that julia seems very spoiled and lazy.
