I could see game of thrones becoming a classic in the same way LLTR is at least for fantasy lovers, Its already somewhat in that realm and fairly new with the earliest book being from the early 90s

i think the symbolysm of a “horse” and “preforming” shouldn’t be lost on the viewer, yet it seems to be one of the most missed points in the show. Horses generally have 2 purposes, to preform and to work. and what do we do when they cant do either of those anymore? we kill them.
Think about how bojack, his dad and secretariat all share in this delemia. they all thrive for the want to “work” to “be somthing” they all want to “write somthing”, “win a race” or “be in a famous tv show” and the moment they CANT what happens to them?
Spoiler:>! they all die… except bojack kinda!<
bojacks purpose is to prefor. think about the “just keep dancing” song, to him stopping meansd DEATH similar to how horses are used in todays society
the wild horses represent the complete opposite. Bojack sees them running and realises that there might be a life outside of our social norms which makes life LIFE not a never ending dance. they represent the spirt of life without the pressure to live up to our own or other peoples standards to live life simply as it is, as a wild horse not a clydesdale pulling a cart or a show pony er… showing? they represent what he COULD be what he MIGHT have been
sadly for hm and many others. life comes calling and keeps us from that freedom
Into the wild, people seem to really like this book but all I can think about is having to read during my summer vacation
Took me about a year to get through game of thrones
Needful things seemed to just keep my attention more than most books, I draw while I listen to audiobooks and I must of gone through 1/2 of it in one sitting
“being mad at her was better then being afraid of her”
This line from misery summed up the abuse from my mother pretty perfectly
Winterfell just feels so cozy, I love the cold and the culture and family there always seemed so nice and warm. Plus hot springs in a forever winter??? Amazing
Empire of the southern moon.
I had just finished the secret history of the mongol women and the 5th sun so was looking for more none fiction history books about American Indian culture and history, this was the first that comes up when you search “native American history books” and said it had great reviews. Little did I know it was an outdated racist account about how savage native folks were for fighting for their land, and how righteous white settlers were for stealing it
Green is also the color of islam, so the red is a significance since turkey is an outlier with that color scheme
What about Canterbury tails? That was never finished
