The episode where Bojack almost commits suicide and then sees the horses running, the horses seem to change his mind but I never understood why. What are the reminding him of or representing?

Was Bojack’s suicide plan here to drive into oncoming traffic?
I think he was trying to flip the car. It makes more sense to slam the acceleration and then spin the wheel then to kill someone else with you.
Or just let it run off the road at max speed and hope it flips as that seems to be the intention he originally had but something made him look and notice the horses.
I always thought he was just fully letting go and didn’t care what happened to the car, although I do think he meant to crash it
It opened his eyes to the fact that there are other ways of living besides what he’s known in his life so far.
Personally I think that it’s the wild horses. Unencumbered by burdens, expectations. They just as a community of horses (which is also a big thing for him, as he doesn’t have that at all, as shown in the horse show he felt a connection too)
Running is a huge motif from the show, secretariats advice to Bojack was to “run and never look back” so he found that. The burden of mistakes he made, were too much so he found what he thought he wanted. Complete independence, free from consequence. (Though personally I don’t think he really wants that, as shown by a constant fear of being not only being alone but not being known of loved.
It’s the Call of the Wild. It represents a kind of horse that Bojack is capable of being, even if he never will. I like to think that possibility is what pulls him back from the brink.
Speaking of which, I highly recommend reading Jack London’s classic book, The Call of the Wild. It’s about 230 pages, but reading it feels more like 90.
My personal take is that, for a moment, he realizes that maybe “keep running” is supposed to mean something else
Something about what Secretariet may have said but my personal interpretation is something along the lines of “this is what I COULD be if I worked harder” maybe not that exactly but you should see what I’m trying to say, like he saw the wild horses and maybe saw freedom?
i think the symbolysm of a “horse” and “preforming” shouldn’t be lost on the viewer, yet it seems to be one of the most missed points in the show. Horses generally have 2 purposes, to preform and to work. and what do we do when they cant do either of those anymore? we kill them.
Think about how bojack, his dad and secretariat all share in this delemia. they all thrive for the want to “work” to “be somthing” they all want to “write somthing”, “win a race” or “be in a famous tv show” and the moment they CANT what happens to them?

bojacks purpose is to prefor. think about the “just keep dancing” song, to him stopping meansd DEATH similar to how horses are used in todays society
the wild horses represent the complete opposite. Bojack sees them running and realises that there might be a life outside of our social norms which makes life LIFE not a never ending dance. they represent the spirt of life without the pressure to live up to our own or other peoples standards to live life simply as it is, as a wild horse not a clydesdale pulling a cart or a show pony er… showing? they represent what he COULD be what he MIGHT have been
sadly for hm and many others. life comes calling and keeps us from that freedom

Did you mean perform instead of preform or am I just not understanding?
It can represent the same idea a “return to nature” does in modern society. People sick of the city and the rat race talk about going to the country on a little farm or cottage and commune with nature. Similar to how Charlotte wanted to leave LA and reminded Bojack of his fantasy of them living on the little lake.
