She also doesn’t use her addiction as an excuse and she recognizes that it’s her responsibility as a mom to rebuild the relationship with her son

I agree but he also stopped working his personal trainer job so she knew he had 0 income and was trying to start a business, which does involve initial investment. Instead of really helping him, she belittled him.

Not to mention Danielle has shot down his job and business idea as a butcher, so realistically what do you want him to do? They’re both terrible
