Great book.
Great book.
The Remains of the Day-Ishiguro
She’s my favorite character in the entire series.
Funny that you mention A Tale of Two Cities. It seriously is the only novel I’ve ever read the actually gets better with each passing chapter, culminating in one of the greatest endings in all of literature.
The Sound and the Fury-I was totally confused after the Benjy section. I’m glad I pushed through because it became one of my favorite books by the time I was finished with it.
It’s my favorite novel of all time. So atmospheric you can practically taste the fog on the wild moors.
A Wrinkle in Time
Charlotte’s Web
A Wrinkle in Time-it was the first time I realized a book could actually take me places. I was totally transported to that kitchen on that dark and stormy night.
I need to finish the series . I read book 7 six years ago and still haven’t picked up book 8. Personally I felt the series peaked at book 2. The Great Hunt is one of my favorite novels ever and the other books just never lived up to it for me personally.
My favorite novel of all time. I’ve only read it once.
Into Thin Air-I never reread fiction unless it’s a short story.
Honestly, I just like a good tragedy.
You do understand what the story is about, right?
Vanity Fair-I’ve been reading only a chapter a day for a while now. I’m on page 655 out of 912.
The Canterbury Tales
I get all of that and I still think the movie is the more impressive work of art. An adaptation doesn’t have to be 100% true to the source material to be good. Basically I feel Kubrick is a better filmmaker than King is a writer.
The Shining-yeah I said it. Bring on the angry Constant Reader fanboys.
Honestly, I thought the book peaked in the first 350 pages and would have been better had it ended after a certain major event in the novel.
Because Reddit is YA.
My favorite Hardy is The Return of the Native.
