I like them, I really do. But I’ve been rewatching the older seasons with my husband and come to the realization that it’s pretty much guaranteed one of them is going to cry in every single one of their segments. I wish I could unrealize this because it low key bugs me now. Not everything warrants tears, damnit!

Every time I hear her call him “Justin” instead of Igor, all I can think is how disrespectfully American can you be? He isn’t a shelter dog she just adopted, ffs.

My ex-husband was stationed overseas for a year. There was an incident where someone a few bases over went out into town and picked up a girl. Only to find out later it was a man. The guy beat the shit out of the trans woman when he found out. I don’t remember the exact details of it, but he may have even killed her. It didn’t even happen at the base my ex was on, but no one was allowed to go out into town for a good long while after this happened.

It’s just crazy to me to put yourself in a situation like that when you absolutely don’t know how someone is going to react to what they’re hearing. That’s not a small thing to drop in someone’s lap, and Nikki just shrugs it off and almost laughs.

YES. THIS. What I really want are the details of the argument that led up to her spilling the secret. Was it an argument over dishes, or was it him saying he didn’t want to be with her for whatever reason and her going full nuclear on his ass.

What she did to this man by hiding the fact that she is trans is, as far as I’m concerned, full on SA.

What I can’t get over with this storyline is how Nikki hid the fact that she was born a man, and then laughs it off when she says she told him during an argument. That isn’t funny. Not even a little bit. I keep thinking, how is that not borderline rape? Sure, he consented to having sex with her, but he certainly didn’t consent to having sex with someone who is trans. I think Nikki knew that, and that’s why she hid the truth. That’s predatory AF. The age gap makes it evennn worse.

I mean, that’s some seriously heavy shit for Igor to have to come to terms with. What if he had had an entire identity crisis after finding out he was tricked into sleeping with a trans woman? People commit suicide for much less than this. And as for Nikki, people have gotten themselves killed over much smaller lies.

For the record, I have no issue with trans people, but I have a HUGE problem with deceiving people in any context.

Sorry, I know this doesn’t actually answer your question, I’ve just been so jaw-dropped by this whole storyline, and I had to vent.
