Your complaints are all 100 percent valid. Though, I wonder if some of the acting is due to scheduling/unfinished scripts or something. This season JK Simmons often sounds like he’s delivering his lines in a completely different context than how they’re presented. Other times it just sounds like the VA has been poorly mixed.

It’s a bizarrely low quality production considering how popular it is and that the original creator has basically complete control over everything.

I love Ever but her arc is so haphazard. She shows up like a bad ass, massively fucks up, is sad, then disappears briefly. Rinse/repeat.

Donalad though, what the hell are they thinking. Nothing compelling about this plot and using it to break up the mid-season climax was a ridiculous pacing decision.

I was really hoping they’d continue the season 1 trend and completely change Mark’s reunion with Nolan. But so far, it’s played out exactly like it did in the book. Mark forgiving him so easily (and yeah, he hasn’t “fully” forgiven him yet) is so unsatisfying and it’s going to be even worse if they do it with Debbie. Debbie and Nolan can not get back together.
