So they finally have the Viltrumite’s weakness to sonic attacks. Great.
Midnight city was cool and the new Darkwing was great to see. His powers would definitely be great at stoping a Viltrumite.
Eve dad continues to be the worse. There comes a time to give up your pride and just take the hand out for the sake of your family. Seriously you daughter has powers, she can provide to. It no different than athletes or other gifted people using their gifts to provided for their family. Man has some serious issues.
Still sad to see that sink hole incident is now on Eve’s record. Which was sadly foreshadowed by how Eve didn’t think about code and regulation when repairing the building.
Still screw her father. Yeah her powers make her dangerous but she is actively using her powers for the betterment of man. She could do a whole lot more with her power that could make her a danger to the world. Her power is a tool, and with it she is using it to help than harm. And she is helping more than harming.
I really think Cecil’s main intent in sending Mark back into action is to continue his R&D on what viltrumites weaknesses are. The more and sooner he can get Mark back in the field the better fighting chance he can have against Omniman (or mark)
Please remember that this is the TV show only spoilers thread. Saying stuff like “finally” implies that it might have a large scope for the series. Also, it never specifically says anything in the episode about “sonic attacks”, just that Mark reacted badly to one particular sound made by a giant beast.
Okay but don’t you think people will get suspicious if this suburban family hurting for money suddenly shows up somewhere with a SOLID GOLD APPLE?
Except Eve’s dad is right. His entire outlook is “nothing good comes from cheating or taking the easy way out,” and Eve has done nothing but prove him right.
Blaming her for losing his job was a dick move, indirect as it was, but she could have been a lot more tactful about it as well if she wanted to help without insulting his pride. She’s Atom Eve, she knows people and easily could have made some calls to get him an interview somewhere lateral to his previous work experience.
But no, here’s a golden apple for you to pawn without raising suspicions with the cops or the IRS.
TV Eve is a moron this season. It feels like she switched places with Amber in the “lets make sure we have at least one character making the dumbest choices possible” category.
You think he’d accept a job offer if it came from his daughter. Man been struggling to accept anything from his daughter for years. He’d see it as another one of her hand outs. He would problem go, I would like to get a job on my own merit and not because you pulled some string. Valuing his pride more than his family like Walter White.
And also nothing good comes from cheating and short cuts, I don’t believe that. She has been doing a lot of good work when it came to environmental stuff. It was just that one incident that caused an unfortunate accident.
Most of what we do is basically cheating and taking short cuts at a global scale. Communication is almost instantaneous, food is readily available, and we have plethora of knowledge that dwarves anything we had in centuries. All of our engineering, knowledge, and tech helps us overcome obstacles that would have taking several hundreds of men and generations of family to complete.
Good can come out of short cuts and cheating. One of the basic ideas of engineering is we make stuff so we don’t have to work so hard. You just have to be cautious and be careful because even if you slightly off, someone could get hurt. But that just life, the constant struggle for survival.
Sexist assholes don’t want women to provide is what that comes down to. Every panel he was in in the comics pissed me off because as cartoonish as it looks, everyone knows someone like that.
