To any of you saying “this felt like filler” what do you want? All action and no build up to that action?
Make it make sense.
We wanted fish sex
Something interesting? Character moments? Not a random retread of a side villain from last season? Anything?
This episode was completely devoid of narrative thrust. Why are you acting like people are only expecting “all action and no build up” when this very show has far more interesting examples of storytelling? I feel like I just wasted 50 minutes and the story is in the exact same place it was last week.
Bro why do you have character moments with a question mark, we literally got so many character moments here! Maybe actually pay attention to the show lol
Every fanbase you’re going to get idiots like this. When The Walking Dead was hot, there was a complaint whenever an episode didn’t have a zombie massacre.
fish sex
Really liked this episode. A lot of stuff is being set up. It’s actually more tightly written than the comic. The comic has so many loose threads remaining loose for many many issues.
I might prefer the comics version of Atlantis just for pure entertainment value but in this episode they actually made it connect to Mark’s character development and the theme of the season.
It was actually jarring in the comic when Mark seemed to just bounce back from nearly dying at the hands of his own father and just go on a bunch of entertaining one off adventures. However those adventures were all pretty entertaining.
This felt like a lot of shit was needlessly changed from the comic.
Is that better?
why does this even matter? let it be good or not on its own merits
Changed to be less “fillery.”
I never read the comic, so it’s a bit of a let down that the multi verse is the main story. I still like it and will watch, but it feels like the stakes are cheapened.
Fish Sex! to be fair, there has been a long wait for season 02, and its been split into only 4 episodes per year. Its not like its a 10/12 episode season each year. When they are spreading it out this much, it makes viewers wane off it
I wanted deep sea erotica
Agreed, the 7.5 IMDB rating is stupid. It was a great episode with character and plot building
I want them to release all the episodes at once. I wouldn’t mind this episode so much if it lead into something else immediately, not having to wait an entire week to see what it’s building up to
I really enjoyed this episode for the emotional side of things. Seeing Mark and his mom try to pick up the pieces was heart-wrenching.
A couple parts of this episode felt like filler to me, namely the stuff with Debbie. She got several long scenes that didn’t really develop her character. We learned that she’s… still sad about Nolan? What new information did we get about her?
They could’ve easily trimmed out her scenes except the ones with Mark and visiting Cecil.
