Those don’t even look like anything special. And the location is amazing but also probably $$$$ to insure.

If I’m spending the equivalent of the price of a whole damn house in rent per year I better at least have the kind of house where you host all the family holidays.

    I live in a beach town and in Florida if the home prices don’t kill you, the hurricane insurance will blow you away literally

      I mean I’m 20 minutes from the beach in Florida. And I’m very lucky I bought my house before the market blew up. But for $25k a month I could have the same size house, much newer build, and own it outright in 3-4 years.

      My parents live on the beach in Florida and need to pay $15k every few years for sand restoration. The sand erodes from the beach and they need to pump it from the middle of the ocean back to the beach. Also, all of their cars and outdoor things (windows, door knobs, outdoor furniture) gets ruined from the salt air.

      You have hurricane insurance I live 2 blocks from the water in Florida and have never had hurricane insurance
