What something people usually don’t know/notice about the show? What’s a lil easter egg or fun fact you may know about the show? I’m Intrigued.

sugarman’s summer home is in harper’s landing and while bojack is tripping about his life with charlotte his “daughter’s” name is also harper(: i never thought much of it but sometimes i wonder if he subconsciously imagined her with that name because he associated good memories with the summer house (iirc he said last time he was there was when he was a kid) most likely a paper coffee cup moment but i always liked to think about it that way
I love that, I definitely think it was intentional. A lot of lil details are. I also always wanted bojack to have that lifestyle before he became a shit person.
I just noticed this on my current watch through!
i hate when someone points out a really cool and obviously thought out detail, and someone replies “coffe cup”. like stop immediately dismissing all of the thought that went into this show, not everything is a coincidence.
yeah, me too, even if it is a coincidence, it is a cool one, you know?
i just wanted to get ahead of the paper cups comments so i don’t have to feel dumb about thinking about the name the way i do(:
for reallll. It’s such a bummer when people start dogpiling and stop others from sharing the bizarre connections they make in their heads and interesting theories they come up with, and all the fun stuff the subreddit should be for.
And fwiw, I don’t think the Harper thing even is a paper cup—it would still be a neat coincidence if it was, but it makes way too much sense and is just the type of detail the writers would think to include.
it absolutely isn’t. but i saw a paper coffee cup comment to the op, and that’s what prompted my anger haha.
I’ve never heard this term before and it’s tough to look up, I keep getting articles about actual coffee lol. Could someone kindly explain?
In Free Churro, Bojack says that fans ask him questions about Easter eggs in the show and it’s dumb to try to find meaning like that in every single thing. This is the quote: “Hey, um, you know that episode where the horse has to give Ethan a pep talk, after Ethan finds out his crush only asked him to the dance because her friends were having a dorkiest date contest? In all the shots of the horse, you can see a paper coffee cup on the kitchen counter, but in the shots of Ethan, the coffee cup’s missing. Was that because the show was making a statement, about the fluctuant subjectivity of memory and how even two people can experience the same moment in entirely different ways? And I didn’t have the heart to be, like, "No, man, some crew guy just left their coffee cup in the shot. ” So instead, I was, like “Yeah. ”
