I just started watching Nicole and Azan Continuing their journey and I feel like I’m alone in my opinion that Azan actually did like her until she came over and acted the way she did. How someone acts can definitely affect how attracted you are to someone. Once she started with the constant interruptions, forced PDA, the absolute disrespect for his culture and country and abuse he didn’t like her anymore. Yea he should have just told her but I honestly think Nicole is just an awful person and completely abused Azan. Yeah he took her money but she definitely ruined that relationship first.
I think both were extremely misinformed and naive about each other. There are some rumors that Nicole used photos of her sister on the dating app and misrepresented herself. Likely Azan thought all Americans are wealthy and that is why he felt so comfortable taking Nicole’s money. At the end Nicole was blind to the waiving red flags and Azan was fine staying in the relationship for the money. Both are awful.
Didn’t they video chat though? I was confused when Azan was surprised that Nicole was ‘a little bit big.’ Some plus size women have faces that you couldn’t necessarily tell what size they are if you don’t see the rest of them, but I feel like Nicole’s face matches her body type.
I think he felt comfortable taking her money because she told him unless he could find a job where they could have constant contact she didn’t want him working. In one of the first few episodes he talks about how he did have a job but lost it because Nicole was calling all the time

I think he did like her through the screen but once she went there the first time he was prob like “nahhh she ain’t for Me” lol… Nicole was just a mess. Tried to pay sweet, nice and innocent but she was just stupid. Awful mother because she kept dragging her daughter out of her comfort zone to live in a different country, her house or whatever she lived in was always a mess… made her daughter call azan daddy like girl bye.
There’s an interview with a producer of the show (a tell all type thing that aired on TLC) and they ask him if he had any regrets and he says his biggest one is not telling Nicole that Azan was scamming her
He did not realize how large she really was. She hid it from him. Hence the 55% attraction rate which was likely inflated. She was a bit of a catfish and the dude did not know how to escape the situation.
Yeah, I think he had some attraction, but she really put that to the test.

It must have been a god-awful moment when Azan laid his eyes on her for the first time. They do not have those morbidly obese fat sloppy people in their countries. He must have been appalled.

I think he didn’t see her body. He was totally scamming but thought he’d find it easier to feign interest in someone he thought was maybe a little chubby. I always interpreted her behavior as an immature reaction to sensing his disinterest in her and knowing it was because of her body. It’s a horrible position to be in, to be fair. My best guess is she did a little wishful thinking that being ok with a chubby face means ok with a fat body. Men need to know because if you tell them you’re fat I think they just imagine you’re like a Lane Bryant model or something, lol.
I’m fat and was talking to a guy once and I used all the words to tell him I’m fat including “I’m fat” but for good measure I sent a picture and sure enough… “Oh, wow, that’s not for me.” Lol, they need to be hit over the head and she didn’t do that.
Yeah I don’t think it had as much to do with her weight as it did her attitude. Do I think he found her unattractive? Weight wise… yes. But it was definitely the way she acted that caused him to lose ALL interest. I am only up to the part where she is packing to go to Morocco to try for the K-3 visa. Anytime he tries to express that he is unhappy with the way she is acting she interrupts him and tries to talk over him or pushes on him. She refused to respect his culture or family. Put him in difficult situations (at the airport when they went to say bye and the look of absolute fear on his face when she put her head on his chest!). She slept all day, couldn’t keep up with him on physical excursions. Didn’t even want him to work unless he got a job where he could talk to her while at work. She basically asked him not to work. I think saying “it was only because of her weight” excuses all the red flags Nicole is proudly waving.
I think Azan felt entitled to harvesting Nicole’s American Dollars because she was so unattractive, on many different levels.
She basically told him not to work unless it was a job where he could talk to her while at work. She is on the show saying “I don’t mind helping you out with money because that’s what people in love do” when in reality she is basically willing to pay him to stay home from work so she has access to him whenever she wants.
