WHY THE FUCK DID THEY AGE UP THULA AAAAA
It’s been a while but did they swap Rudy and Amanda’s roles in getting into the movie? I remembered Rudy being the one to get the adult.
Its been forever since Ive read it but was there a lot of new content or did I just forget a bunch about this part? Like was the support group in the comics?
Mark seemed to get a little too violent too fast with Seance dog like he was refusing to hear him out in any way.
So just rewatched it and noticed a couple things:
- That brunette that was eyeballing Debbie at the meeting and as she left? War Woman’s GF. Wanna bet that doesn’t become a thing?
- Ok this series has a weird habit of switching roles between men and women, and damned if it didn’t do it again with Rudy and Monster Girl at the movies. In the comic, Rudy is the one who got a adult to buy the tickets for them but in the show it was Monster Girl. Why the change? The point of this was to show Monster Girl that coldly logical Rudy is cunning and useful, and doesn’t have a total stick up his ass. What’s the point of reversing that? Rudy already had the hots for her, so it’s up to him to get her interested in him and the show writers arbitrarily yeeted it.
The narration was so fucking cringe, omfg. Have they not heard of show don’t tell! Jesus christ, what did the executed writers smoke before making it.
The narrator joke didn’t work for me. It’s so great in the comic because narration text boxes are a staple of the medium, but it’s jarring to suddenly hear a narrator that was never there before and feels like a poor way to adapt it. The humour in this show is generally a struggle for me. Excellently cast narrator though and great episode over all.
Anyone spot the geldarian cameo?
I really loved the vibe of this whole episode.
So far the show has massively improved on pretty much everything its touched, very hyped for the rest of the season. Love love love what they’re doing with Debbie (Mark is such a piece of shit for not telling her he’s leaving though) and William. Thaedus being literally Optimus Prime is very distracting though.
Person who never read the comics, asking here cause I want an answer for something particular that only comics readers would be able to answer on: so ah… is Kate just a hoe and that’s it? Cause she banged with Rex, she’s currently banging Immortal (and gave the dumbest explanation for that imo) and for some reason I get the feeling before the season ends she’ll bang any other of the guardians male members
it bothers me that they made amber less hot, like I know her characterization in the comics was kinda like blowup doll dumb blonde bimbocore but I don’t think they needed to completely strip her of all sex appeal
