This man travelled the multi-verse to find smart versions of himself, to merge their minds(information) into himself, why not just work together like aren’t they all technically geniuses but none of them saw how stupid this was?

Well it’s not like his plan couldn’t have worked if it wasn’t interrupted by Invincible. He isn’t dumb for attempting it. He is dumb for trying to remove himself from the machine after the Maulers warned him not to.

Mauler twins worked well for every guy that hired them. The issue was bothering with Invincible or not thinking of a contingency plan to stop the Maulers (much like he had one to stop Mark).

He was also too arrogant for not getting into contact with other geniuses from the multiverse, so he was alone in that endeavor.

I don’t think his plan would’ve worked anyway

The problem with collecting all the minds of his alt selves is that he’d also get all their collective trauma. This in no way would’ve benefited anyone

If anything he should’ve collected the top minds across the multiverse and asked them individually how he could’ve helped

Pretty sure the machine would only load knowledge and information into him without the emotional response.

It’s meant to keep his own mental integrity so he know what is his and what are others’ memories.

Due to the process being discrupted, Angstrom cannot properly differentitate anymore and AU versions of Angstroms who absolutely hate Invincible bleed in.

It was explained that there was a system in place taht would still allow him to have all of their collective memories and knowledge, but still know that he is…himself. I explained it like this to my friend. If successful, his brain would have two new file cabinets. One, containing all of the alternative Angstroms memories and such, neatly filed by individual. The second, containing Dimension hooping Angstrom’s memories, kept separate from the others. Now thanks to the screw-up, it’s like someone threw a bunch of important files into a massive container at random with no regards to what is what. And they blended it.

He was basically trying to become an omniscient god, and likely had some kind of hero complex given that he is the only version of himself that has the powers

The Maulers ask him the same question and his response is that “Only someone who can see the whole puzzle can put it together.” Angstrom believes that the information is best used by the only one of them that has access to the multiverse.

The real question is why he did the thing he did in a universe with the Invincible in it instead of a universe without superheroes in it ( like the one that the Mauler Twins requested for themselves ) ?

He specifically said that he needed the complete knowledge of the other versions of himself because his plan would not work if he did not have the complete picture. He couldn’t just get a list of what they know and check it for reference.

Really, the only thing that went wrong was Mark coming in and ruining things.

Levy specifically said when he met the twins that he is a pacifist and that even working with them was already a breach of his morals. That’s why he didn’t want Mark getting killed to be the start of his dream.

How the hell is he still alive after that. The top of his skull has to be completely destroyed if his entire brain is just leaking out like that

the machine wasn’t supposed to kill all the other versions. he was going to be able to do both have all the knowledge and work with his counterparts. that did not end up being the case.

i was kinda hoping that it wouldn’t go a full multiverse with it, but oh well. string theory is DUMB, kids. at least we got to see more of the blues brothers. not everything has to do a rick and a morty.

either way, it seems to me that mark prime or whatever doesn’t really deserve his wrath, and you think big brain here would know it.

The only thing that annoyed me about it is why did he decide to do it on that dimension i woulda done it somewhere completely safe so there was no mistakes. I thought it was because of the maulers but he had more with him so it didn’t matter which dimension he was in?

Theres being a good guy and theres being a dumbass. At this point the maulers are tragic figures who keep watching lesser minds misuse their shit
