Feels Mark held his own a bit better against Viltrumites, but the outcome was still the same, the fight scenes were great and brutal.
Yeah rearranging the events he faced on Earth I guess gave him a substantial boost, either that or Thula is washed up.
I’m still not feeling the confrontation without the breakdown, at least for me that was more shocking than the more expected typical approach but oh well.
I mean what did Thula actually do besides getting no diffed by a nerfed battle beast?
She still was fighting pretty evenly with him considering, most of the Viltrumite War was against Battle Beast, being part of the squad >!that almost killed Thrag which even as a team was impressive considering how Nolan and Mark faired in the Viltrumite War, the only Viltrumite besides Thrag to directly use the Rognarr to her advantage.!<
Obviously not the strongest, not even for female Viltrumites since Anisa exists but she was no pushover, on Lucan’s level at least I’d put her.
Yeah. Mark feels much stronger in the show than the comics so far to me.
Honestly I was thinking the other way round, even in looks and all, comics mark started looking beefier by this point, but thats just me ig.
Nolan told mark to start exercising during this fight in the comics, whereas he started in season 1 of the show.
I’m pretty sure it was the boost he got after the beating his dad gave him.
Forcefully take over planets
Culture revolves around being strong
Can breed with humans
Signature hairy part of the body
When they get close to death, they get stronger
Are we sure Mark and Nolan can’t go Super
saiyanViltrumite? They don’t get stronger from being close to death btw only from fighting and training, pushing their muscles etc
So why Invicible is so strong ? I mean, I didn’t read the comics. But from what I readed, Mark seems to become one of the most powerful viltrumite ever in relative short time (for viltrumites). Maybe his human side make him stronger ?
Partly due to basically growing up with a strong father and facing thr toughest gives in the universe over and over again.
I won’t spoil too much but he also gets a kind of “magic” power up that really takes him higher than he’d achieve naturally and also he’s from a special lineage.
Out of universe explanation: he’s the main character so of course he would be
In universe, lore reason: it was never really mentioned explicitly why he was so strong
What are you referring to here? I don’t get how this applies to viltrumites, or even saiyans (unless you mean oozaru or ssj4)
Are they getting zenkai boosts ?
Yeah there are a ton of Zenkai boosts in Invincible. The more a Viltrumite is damaged, the stronger they get when they recover.
Yeah considering the threats he faced in s01 were ones he faced after Thraxa and he got trained by Nolan for a hit whereas he wasn’t exerting himself in the comics it definitely felt intentional. The fact he was even able to hold up Thula was shocking.
He needs to start exercising more, waiting for the panel of him bench pressing at the Pentagon base
More than just exericising. Like Nolan said, he’s strong enough to beat them, but just lacks the will to actually kill them. That’s why he had to be saved by his dad and took the brutal injury that made it so he couldnt defend his dad when the mr intestines came back.
yeah im assuming thats something hes going to break out for a future life and death fights after seeing the consequences of inaction
What? I feel the total opposite.
He did so much better in the Thraxa fight than the comics imo.
I feel like he loses almost every fight in the show. I rereading the comics now, and mark seems much stronger.
kinda implies how strong he is too. he was holding his own against a clearly experienced warrior there.
The comic has him lose to the other Viltrumite but he gets in a lot of hits and survives fighting him for hours. Mark holds his own in that fight
Did he? The black dude was fucking him up with a finger and he just barely got to beating an old lady.
