What book have you read that wasn’t subjectively “bad” but you regrets reading all the same?
For me, Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. The book was engaging and it kept me on my toes, but I just with I hadn’t “poisoned my head” with all the graphic gore that was in there. I years later i still think about this and how I really wish I had never read it.
Question inspired by a comment /u/PrincessOfWales made in another thread :)
The king killer chronicle books. I don’t praise them as much as others but it feels more and more that the third book will never come out
Wow! To the extent you wish you’d never read the first two (3) books?
That’s why I am holding off of starting the series. I’ll binge it if it ever gets finished.
Yep. But I also found them terribly “men writing women”
I stopped reading at the introduction of the “manic pixie dream girl”, AKA the first female character. Ugh. Barf. Best decision ever.
This was mine as well
